Student Opportunities

USD School of Law launched health law concentrations for both its JD and LLM degree programs in 2015. In collaboration with UCSD and other institutions, joint degree programs are being developed in areas such as health law policy and bioethics.

The Center will also educate the local life science and biotechnology workforce through professional conferences and special training sessions such as "Anatomy of a Medical Malpractice Trial," a program developed with Kaiser Permanente that bridges the gap of understanding between doctors and lawyers, preparing each to work together during future cases.

The Advanced Certificate in Intellectual Property Law and Regulatory Affairs, a joint program between USD School of Law and San Diego State University, expands the knowledge base of life science professionals working to translate scientific discovery into commercial products.
