Student Job Opportunities

The following are links to just some of the job resources most often used by USD students and graduates. It is not an exhaustive list. Please consult with a Career Advisor to maximize your opportunities. Full-time day students must adhere to the ABA rule (ABA305(a)(iii)) limiting employment to no more than 20 hours per week during the academic year.

Judicial Opportunities

Judicial Externships (Before Graduation)

Students are alerted by email to opportunities to work for local federal, state, and administrative law judges during the summer and school year. The Office of Career and Professional Development will also assist you with externships applications outside of San Diego for the summer.

Judicial Clerkships (Post Graduation)

Information on state court clerkships can be found in the Resource Library in #HireUSDLaw. Students and graduates interested in federal clerkships should meet with a Career and Professional Development advisor to assist you with the judicial clerkship application process, including processing faculty letters of recommendation. View more information.
