Join the Bay Area Torero Club for a day hiking outdoors!

We have decided to host two hikes at the same time in different locations to better accommodate our many USD alumni, parents, and friends scattered throughout the Bay Area.

For our Toreros in the Peninsula, James Perkins '97, President of the Bay Area Torero Club will be leading a group for a hike in Wunderlich park. Wunderlich Park is a hillside area of redwood forest, open meadows, and beautiful oaks and madrones. The park is largely open space, with a system of beautiful trails. Trails run along gulches and creeks, others traverse unique hillside habitats and lead you to breathtaking views of the countryside. Please meet in the parking lot where James will be waiting with his USD gear on. If you have any questions, please see James' contact info below.

For our Toreros in Marin County, Camille Schmidt '11, Vice President of the Bay Area Torero Club will be leading a group for a hike around Fort Cronkhite. Fort Cronkhite is a former World War II military post that stands at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Fort Cronkhite today is one of the few examples of these World War II "mobilization posts" remaining in the country. Dogs on a leash are allowed. The first part of the hike is mostly uphill so be prepared. Please meet in the parking lot where Camille will be waiting with her USD gear on. If you have any questions, please see Camille's contact info below.

Remember to bring plenty of water and dress in layers. Feel free to bring some snacks/lunch as well.
