Materials for the Arts

5998 Alcala Park San Diego, CA 92110

The New York Torero Club invites you to join them for an evening of giving back through community service.

New York Cares is now the city's largest volunteer management organization, running volunteer programs for 1,350 nonprofits, city agencies, and public schools. Today's volunteers share our founders' vision that we all have a role to play in making our city a better place.

Located in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens, Materials for the Arts collects unneeded materials from businesses and redistributes them to artists and educators for creative purposes. Founded in 2002, Materials for the Arts provides supplies for 2,916 nonprofits, schools, and government agencies with arts programming. As New York City’s premier reuse center, Materials for the Arts organizes workshops and classes to further promote its ideals of creative reuse and sustainability.

Sort and organize donated art supplies and other materials that will be given free to schools and non-profits with arts programming. Volunteers are often asked to work with paints on this project, so please come in clothes you wouldn't mind getting dirty.

This event is FREE to attend.

We look forward to seeing you!
