The Graduating Class Gift Campaign - A USD Law Tradition
What is the 2012 Class Gift?
It is no secret that the Student Lounge in Warren Hall needs an update. This summer, there will be a significant upgrade happening to the student lounge. We’re talking new couches and tables, more comfortable chairs, and improved lighting. What’s missing from this re-vamp is the new technology that will allow students to better utilize this space for group projects and power point presentations, and create a functional lounge for students to study and relax.
The Class of 2012 will be creating a Student Lounge Technology Fund. With the funds, we hope to purchase equipment that improves the technological capabilities of the space, including tables and chairs with built-in electrical outlets, and a new DVD player for student organization movie screenings. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide the best technology possible to create a space that facilitates learning as well as promotes relaxation.
No gift is too large or too small. The most important goal of the campaign is to reach an unprecedented 100% participation, thus setting the standard to which future classes will aspire (but never surpass).
Additionally, any gift over $10 enters you into a raffle for a RESERVED parking spot in the law school parking lot for one week during finals. You can double your chances by making a gift of $20, triple your chances with a gift of $30, and so on.
Right now! The fundraising period for the class gift campaign will kick off the week of April 9th and will be featured at the Dean’s Mixer on April 17th. You are encouraged to visit the Class of 2012 table to make your gift or learn more about this campaign. All gifts made by June 30th, 2012 will count toward our goal.
