The Law Firm Challenge reconnects alumni to the School of Law in a meaningful way. Law firms, companies, agencies and organizations in southern California with three or more law school alumni are enthusiastically encouraged to participate. The Challenge's overall success is dependent upon the dedication of volunteers at each firm who encourage colleagues to contribute to the Law Annual Fund, attend law school events and stay connected as a volunteer on campus.
Firms compete for the highest percentage of alumni giving to the law school and for the most dollars raised. The firms with the highest participation rates and giving totals receive special public recognition including prominent display of the firm names on the electronic message board in Warren Hall at USD School of Law. This year the competition will run from March 1 - May 31. All gifts counted during the current fiscal year will be included in the totals.
In addition to raising the profile of participating law firms and organizations and building a stronger alumni network, the Law Firm Challenge also provides an opportunity for alumni to make a collective difference. Donations through the Challenge provide the foundation of private support to enabling the law school to continue to expand its programs, increase diversity, meet the needs of the legal community and grow in national prominence.
