Orly Lobel joined a Bloomberg Law podcast to discuss a lawsuit againstAmazon for overtime pay brought by a group of delivery drivers in Chicago. Amazon is challenging the suit, saying the drivers don’t actually work for the company. “The allegation is that, functionaly, Amazon is the real employer.” Lobel said. “And when there are labor violations, it should be held liable for paying overtime and other kinds of noncompliance with our employment regulations.”
