
Applicants for the degree of juris doctor need a bachelor's degree from a college or university of approved standing prior to acceptance at the University of San Diego School of Law. There is no pre-legal course of study or single major recommended to candidates for admission. However, prospective students are encouraged to concentrate their studies on courses that develop analytical skills and effective written and oral expression. The School of Law seeks to admit a diverse group of men and women who are academically well qualified, possess self-discipline and have demonstrated motivation to succeed at the study of law. Applications to the law school are accepted on a rolling basis from September through June. Entering law students are admitted for the fall semester only.
