LWIC585 Select Issues in International Finance (Hugues Kenfack)
The course involves a comparative study of European and U.S. law dealing with cutting-edge issues in international finance law. The course will examine the risks inherent in international commercial operations, followed by an examination of the law applicable to international banking transactions, including conflict of jurisdictions. Significant attention will be paid to financing the international sale of goods. Topics covered will include: International collateral financing mechanisms, International Banking Operations and Conflict of Jurisdiction and European and French rules on International Bankruptcy. Grade is based on a final examination.
