Employment and Labor Law Classes



  • Credits for concentration: 18
  • Grade point average in concentration courses of 2.5 is required in order to obtain the concentration
  • Recognition: Certificate and transcript notation
  • To receive the concentration, you must submit an application during spring semester of your graduating year. Applications are due by April 1 of your graduating year.

You may only elect ONE of the following to count toward the concentration:

  • Alternative Dispute Resolution
  • Mediation Skills
  • Negotiation

You may only elect ONE of the following to count toward the concentration (maximum of four credits count toward the concentration):

  • Corporate Counsel Externship (previously named Corporate Counsel Internship Program)
  • Entertainment, Sports and IP Internship Program
  • Judicial Externship* (previously named Judicial Internship)
  • Washington D.C. Externship (selected placements)
  • Selected Agency Placements

Note: Please plan carefully. Some courses have prerequisites. Courses may not be offered each year. Some courses and clinics have limited enrollment.

*Course only counts towards the concentration if externship is with an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Judge.
