Gail Armist Greene
Lawyering Skills Instructor
Gail Greene was born in the Republic of South Africa and moved to America in 1981. She received a B.S. degree in telecommunications and film from San Diego State University in 1985, and then worked in the communications field for a number of years.
Professor Greene attended USD School of Law where she was a member of the San Diego Law Review, serving as comments editor for volume 27. Her student case note was published in volume 26 of the San Diego Law Review. Professor Greene graduated law school magna cum laude in 1990. At graduation, she was awarded the Kahn Award for Excellence in Real Property.
After graduation, she joined Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich in San Diego, gaining extensive experience in all areas of civil litigation until 1996. She also performed pro bono work representing disabled clients applying for benefits, taking many cases to an administrative hearing.
Professor Greene returned to USD School of Law in 1998 as an adjunct professor to teach Lawyering Skills I. She has served as the universal grader for the Practicum, and worked as a grader and tutor for the BarBri. California Bar applicants tutored by Greene for the independent essay writing have a 100 percent pass rate.
