Joseph M. Reisman

Joseph Reisman specializes in patents at the law firm of Knobbe Martens Olsen & Bear. Professor Reisman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Alan D. Lourie, a circuit judge with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, prior to joining Knobbe Martens Olsen & Bear. He is admitted to the State Bar of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Professor Reisman graduated from Yale University with a B.S. and received a M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego. He received his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. As a law student, Professor Reisman authored "Physicians and Surgeons as Inventors: Reconciling Medical Process Patents and Medical Ethics," which was published in the High Technology Law Journal (1995).
