Areas of Expertise
Professor Brink teaches and writes in the areas of ethical theory, history of ethics, and jurisprudence.
Professional Experience
Brink is professor of philosophy at the University of California, San Diego, a director of the Institute for Law and Philosophy at the University of San Diego School of Law, and an editor of the journal Legal Theory with Matt Adler, Larry Alexander, and Scott Shapiro.
Honors and Affiliations
Brink was awarded the Herbert Feigl Award from the University of Minnesota in 1980. He won a Cornell University Graduate Fellowship in 1981 and 1984; a Martin M. McVoy, Jr., Trust Fellowship from 1982 to 1984; and was awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Research Fellowship in 1990-91 and 2002-03.
