Professor Maxwell teaches in the area of tax law.
Professional Experience
Maxwell practices law at Hone Maxwell LLP where his practice focuses on civil and criminal tax controversy defense, handling tax matters involving the Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board, Board of Equalization, and Employment Development Department. He worked for KPMG as a member of the company's federal tax group, providing advisory services that included tax due diligence, tax compliance and regulatory assistance, and tax structuring advice. He joined USD School of Law in 2011.
