Areas of Expertise
Professor Reed teaches in the area of energy law and policy and is a supervising attorney for USD's Energy Policy Clinic.
Professional Experience
Reed started his career with the US Coast Guard's maritime pollution control program. He spent 35 years with the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice litigating in all areas of public land law including land use, mineral production, antiquities protection and National Environmental Policy Act challenges. He specialized in maritime boundary litigation filed as original actions in the United States Supreme Court.

Reed is a member of the International Law Association.
