Areas of Expertise

Professor Sharp teaches negotiation, mediation and arbitration.

Professional Experience

Sharp has more than 24 years of experience as a mediator, facilitator and dispute resolution professional. Since 1985, he has facilitated and mediated more than 1,200 matters involving a wide variety of business, environmental, employment, real estate and other issues. Sharp joined USD School of Law in 2009.

Honors and Affiliations

Sharp served from 1985 to 2000 as the regional vice president of the American Arbitration Association’s (AAA’s) San Diego and Orange County offices where he oversaw all of its mediation, facilitation and arbitration services. In addition to his private ADR practice, Sharp is a mediator for the World Bank, the San Diego Superior Court, the Department of Interior and other government agencies.
