Professor Wied teaches in the area of negotiation.
Professional Experience
Wied has practiced law in San Diego for more than 35 years. He is an experienced trial lawyer and a specialist in commercial and business transactions. He is a certified specialist in business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification. Wied received his mediator credential from the National Conflict Resolution Center in 1998, and has conducted over 100 mediations and arbitrations.
Honors and Affiliations
Wied served as president of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association. He also served as a delegate for the American Bar Association. He was a member of the Board of Directors, Commissioner and chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Wied served as naval aviator and captain for Judge Advocate Generals Corps for the U.S. Naval Reserve. He is a member of the Board of Visitors for the University of San Diego School of Law and the San Diego Rotary.
