Areas of Expertise
Professor Panikowski teaches in the area of intellectual property law.
Professional Experience
Panikowski practiced at Fish & Richardson in San Diego, specializing in the areas of trade secret law, probate law, legal writing and legal research. She employs her experience gained working as an attorney in the area of wills and trusts to her examination of the distribution of intellectual property in marital dissolution, probate, bankruptcy and alternative resolution proceedings. Prior to law school, Panikowski worked as a political consultant, managing campaigns, drafting speeches and analyzing research data for both domestic and international clients.
Honors and Affiliations
Panikowski graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was selected as Dillard Fellow, Ritter Scholar and Raven Society member, and served as a senior editor on the Virginia Journal of International Law. She also received the graduation award for Outstanding Student in the Field of the Trial Advocacy. Panikowski received the Thorsnes Prize for Excellence in Teaching, the Huffman Service Award, and was a USD Woman of Impact nominee in 2008.
