Professor Washington teaches advanced trial advocacy.
Professional Experience
Washington is a senior felony trial attorney with the San Diego County Public Defender's Office. His current caseload includes all types of felony crimes, including capital cases, and he conducts two to four felony jury trials a year. Washington also taught law at Emory University and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s trial skills and deposition programs.
Honors and Affiliations
Washington received the Richard D. Westbrook Memorial Award for Outstanding Trial Advocacy in 1993 at California Western School of Law. He also received the California Western School of Law Faculty Award for Outstanding Scholarship and Service.
