Student Survey Distribution

Students who wish to distribute surveys must have a sponsoring faculty or staff member that has obtained survey approval privileges approve the survey for them. Click here to read more information, reference Part 5.

Student Steps in Qualtrics:
  1. Open a second browser tab to review instructions below and to work in Qualtrics in seperate tabs.
  2. Click here to login to your USD Qualtrics account.
  3. From the My Surveys page, click Copy for the survey you would like to distribute.
  4. Edit the name for the survey (consider including the student's name for easier tracking).
  5. For Copy To, choose Another User Account.
  6. For Username, type the Qualtrics username (email address, with #USD added at the end) of the sponsoring faculty or staff member.
  7. Click Copy.
  8. The faculty/staff member becomes the owner of the survey and can activate and distribute it.

Faculty/Staff Steps in Qualtrics:  

  1. Open a second browser tab to review instructions below and to work in Qualtrics in seperate tabs.
  2. Click here to login to your USD Qualtrics account.
  3. From the My Surveys page, click Collaborate for the survey you would like to distribute.
  4. Type the student's Qualtrics username (email address with #USD added at the end) and click Add.
  5. Important: If #USD is not added to the end of your email address, you will not access your USD Qualtrics account.

  6. Click the checkbox under Edit, Copy, and/or View Results if you would like them to have these abilities.
  7. Do not check the checkboxes for Activate/Deactivate or Distribute.
  8. Click Save.
  9. The student can now see the survey under the student’s “My Surveys” page.
