This particular software title may be obtained via electronic download. Please follow the instructions below to obtain this software application.
ITS has purchased a Microsoft Campus Agreement which allows us to pre-install Microsoft Office applications at no cost to you or your department. This includes all software in the Microsoft Office Professional family for Windows and Macintosh platforms, including Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Windows XP Professional, and Visual Studio Professional Edition.

Currently there is no cost to departments associated with Microsoft Campus Agreement. Office Professional is automatically installed on all computers purchased and leased with university dollars before being deployed to the end-user. If you currently have an older version of Office Professional installed on your system, please email the software desk to arrange for installation of an upgrade to the latest version.

Home Use Program:
For home use, as part of our Microsoft Campus Agreement, you can participate in Microsoft's Software Assurance Home Use Program (HUP). This program enables you to get a licensed copy of most Microsoft Office desktop applications to install and use on your home computer.

You may continue using HUP software while you are under employment with USD and as long as the corresponding software you use at work has active Software Assurance coverage.

There is a fee of $9.95 that USD employees will be asked to pay directly to Microsoft once you follow the directions given to download and install the software. This can be paid directly and online via a credit card.
