Re: Midterm grade submission Spring 2012, due Monday, March 19
Beginning Tuesday, March 6, you may submit mid-term grades for Spring 2012. Midterm grades are reported only for undergraduate students and only deficient grades (Ds and Fs) are to be submitted.
Instructions: Grading can be done through WEBCT or the portal channel. On the portal, go to the ‘Faculty Grade Assignment’ channel on the Teach/Advise tab. At the bottom, select the type of grades to be entered (Midterm Grades) and hit “Go”. Then, locate the course you want to grade and click the green “triangle” button. This will display your roster alphabetically with 25 students per page. Enter the grade from the drop down list of options or just enter the grade. When the page is completed, click the ‘Submit’ button on the bottom of the page. This will save the changes in Banner. To get to the next page of students, click the link that shows Record Sets: 1-25 and 26-50. When you are finished, use the ‘Back to Teach/Advise Tab’ link at the top of the page to return to the Portal page.
Additional documentation can be found by clicking on the Faculty Grading workshop link in the 'Help & Tutorial References' channel.
Note: Be sure to ‘submit’ your grades often or you may be logged off and entered grades will be lost. There is a 14 minute time-out after no activity.
NEW: If NO deficient grades are given for a class, check the 'All Deficient Grades have now been submitted for this section' box at the top of the student list and click the 'submit' button at the bottom of the page. Not other notification is required.
