How to Install a ringtone on the Blackberry
- Trying to set up the Torero 'Ole ringtone? On your computer, visit http://www.sandiego.edu/help/ringtone and send the link to your phone as a text (under "Other Phones")
- On your phone, open the text you received and click on the link. You will be asked to save or open the file, select ‘save’.
- The ‘save file’ dialog box will open to the default file path (:/mediacard/blackberry/ringtones). Please do not change the default.
- Check the box for ‘Set as Ringtone’ below the save button
- Click ‘save’
- A downloads list will appear with a status of completed for the file/ringtone
- The ringtone will now be set. You can confirm this in the sound profile menu
How to Install the Torero Ringtone on the Droid
- Trying to set up the Torero 'Ole ringtone? On your computer, visit http://www.sandiego.edu/help/ringtone and send the link to your phone as a text (under "Other Phones")
- On your phone, open the text you received. Tap and hold on the link until you see the option to select “save link”
- Click to “save link” to download the ringtone file
- Open the music app and open the downloaded song
- Tap ‘menu’ and select ‘use as ringtone’
How to Install the Torero Ringtone on the iPhone
- To set a ringtone on your iPhone, it must be downloaded onto a computer with iTunes first (you cannot download the ringtone directly to your phone.) For the Torero 'Ole' ringtone, visit http://www.sandiego.edu/help/ringtone
- Once the file has completed downloading, double click to open it in iTunes. It will automatically be added to the list of available ringtones.
- Sync your iPhone to the computer to sync the new ringtone and make it available on your computer
