Open: Printer Setup Utility

click "Add" icon
select "IP Printer" icon
select Protocol: IP

Enter the printer in the Address field:
Enter the name of the printer, xxx, as xxx.printers.sandiego.edu
*Or the actual IP, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Enter the Queue:
*For most printers you can leave this blank or enter "default"

Enter the Name:
This is what you would like to reference the printer as
*Example: cmo199-hp5m, Office-printer

Enter the location:
This also is for reference.
*Example: c199 or home

Select Print Using:
Select, "Select a driver to use..."
Select driver from the list

click Add
