I forgot my MySanDiego account password. How can I reset it?


In order to reset your password, go to the MySanDiego portal web page .  Click on the link "Forgot Password"


You will need the following information handy to complete the reset:


  • USD ID Number
  • Username
  • Last 4 digits of your SSN 
  • Date of Birth 

  • The answer to your security question

Once you have verified your identity, you will be allowed to type in a new password.


Your password will need to adhere to the following conditions: 

  • A minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 30
  • Must contain at least 1 numeric character
  • Must contain at least one of the following special characters: !.%#$^*()_+={}[];:,?&|/"\-@~'
  • Cannot contain the special characters < or >
  • Cannot contain username, first name or last name
  • Should not be a common word in the dictionary


To ensure access to other systems (Kronos, WebCT, wireless, etc), the new password must be immediately used at the MySanDiego portal before it can be reliably used on other systems.


Please Note: The password change is immediate for all systems with the except of Kronos. Kronos may take up to 30 minutes before being accessible with the new password
