Adding a network printer in Leopard (10.5)


Open: Apple Menu
Open: System Preferences
Open: Print & Fax

Click "+", to add a printer
Select "IP" icon
Select Protocol: IPP

Enter the printer in the Address field:
Enter the name of the printer, xxx, as
*Or the actual IP,

Enter the Queue:
*For most printers you can leave this blank or enter "default"

Enter the Name:
This is what you would like to reference the printer as
*Example: cmo199-hp5m, Office-printer

Enter the location:
This also is for reference.
*Example: c199 or home

Select Print Using:
Select, "Select a driver to use..."
Select driver from the list.

click Add
