Exchange Email - How to Change Your Password

Thanks to the launch of our new USDOne Self Service Account Management System, you now have one centralized username & password for 50+ USD systems; including Banner, Blackboard, HR system, MySanDiego portal, Email, WiFi 


The following are instructions on how to change your USD One password if you already know it. If you have forgotten your password, please follow the "Forgot Password" instructions in the PDF attached to this article.

In order to change your password, go to http://usdone.sandiego.edu

Click on the link "Change Password/Security Questions"

Log in to USD One with your username and current password

Click on the “Update Password” button*

Fill in the new password and confirm it.

Fill in the last four digits of your SSN or Pin.

Your password will need to adhere to the following conditions: 

A minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 30

Must contain at least 1 numeric character

Must contain at least one of the following special characters: !%#$^_={}[],?|-@'

Cannot contain username, first name or last name

Should not be a common word in the dictionary

Password must not be one of the 24 previous passwords

Once you have typed in the new password, and confirmed it press “Update”

*If you wish to update your security questions, you may do this here as well.


To ensure access to other systems (Toreromail, Exchange, Blackboard, Oracle, Kronos, WiFi, etc) the new password must be immediately used at the MySanDiego portal before it can be reliably used on other systems. 

Please Note: The password change is immediate for all systems with the exception of Kronos. Kronos may take up to 30 minutes before being accessible with the new password
