What is ToreroMail?
ToreroMail is the E-Mail that the University provides for students. All students will be given an account for life. The accounts are hosted by Google and have a capacity of 7 GB. Faculty and staff have access to our Exchange E-Mail server.
Why do I want ToreroMail?
Students receive all official communications with the University through this E-Mail account. Also, the accounts never expire and feature all the same benefits of a Gmail account.
How do I get access to ToreroMail?
In order to access ToreroMail, students must first open a MySanDiego account. Visit My.SanDiego.edu to create an account. Once students have an account, there will be a link to ToreroMail in the upper right corner of their Portal. In addition to MySanDiego, students can access their accounts from their mobile devices, such as Blackberries and iPhones.
How do I get help with ToreroMail?
Students may contact the Help Desk at (619) 260-7900 for basic troubleshooting or they may also reference our ToreroMail FAQ's at http://www.sandiego.edu/its/helpdesk/faq/Email/Torero%20Mail. Google also offers technical support for more advanced issues.
What type of support does the ITS Help Desk offer?
The Help Desk can assist users with issues concerning creating an account, logging in and setting up clients. Regarding sending and receiving E-Mail and its features, students should refer to Google’s support section.
