If your computer has the OSX of 10.8 or higher, you will need to install the USD Mapped Drives tool which can be found here- http://www.sandiego.edu/its/resources/downloads/

Once you are there, log in at the bottom (unless it logs you in automatically)

After you are logged in, click on the application to download it

Once you download it, please install the application

Once it is installed, you can locate it in your applications folder

Open the application. When you open it, you may see the following popup:

Please log in with your AD credentials

You should receive a message that says "All shares have been mapped."

When it is connected you will see the Status Icon:

The icon sits in your menu bar near the clock and shows whether you are currently connected to your shares (Green icon) or not (Red icon).

To get to your shares, you can:

Click the icon, then click the share from the menu to open Finder at that location, or

Click on the shares's name under Devices in your Finder toolbar, or

Go to the Volumes folder and access the share in question

More information about this tool can be found here http://www.sandiego.edu/its/kb/162187
