The following instructions will help you create a customized banner using PowerPoint.

  1. Open PowerPoint.
  2. Click on the Design tab and the click Page Setup.
  3. On the Page Setup window, scroll down and choose Banner. ClickOK.
  4. Change default Banner dimensions to 8″x1″. PowerPoint may give you a warning that the document size exceeds…if so, simply click the button that says “Fix“.
  5. Begin laying out your banner. In the Presentation screen, type your course name, add a background color, and insert other images if you like.
  6. Click on File in the menu, and selectSave as
  7. Select .PNG or .JPEG from the “Save as type” drop-down menu. ClickSave.
  8. Select Current Slide Only when the Export Slide window appears.
