What is Learn at Lunch?

Faculty, ATS invites you to register and enjoy a FREE catered lunch with peers while learning a new technology tool, application and concept. Session includes a demo and instruction, faculty discussion with Q&A, and hands-on tech time supported by the iTeam staff and resident experts. 

Lunch is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Spring 2018

Using course components that are online rather than face-to-face creates both new challenges and new opportunities. Spring '18 Learn@Lunch will explore how to take advantage of hybrid and online learning environments by leveraging our ever-improving Blackboard LMS to its fullest. Come to one or all three of this Spring's Learn@Lunch's for facilitated demonstration and discussion of the best practices and tools to take a face-to-face course and ready it for hybrid and online learning.

Have you wanted to make your Blackboard course more visually engaging? Attend to our Course Design Learn@Lunch to learn easy ways to bring your creativity into your Blackboard course. In this presentation and working sessions we will provide best practice in typography, graphic design, HTML basics and file optimization strategies. Bring your content, course and materials because our Instructional Designers will sit along side you and help you implement these design techniques right into your course.

Need assistance combating plagiarism in your courses? Want to deliver your assessment online, but worry about your students cheating? Attend this Learn@Lunch to learn about technology available through Blackboard that can help prevent and detect plagiarism. Also learn about technology and best practices for delivering exams through the LMS using technology such as Respondus. After this session you will be ready to deliver your assessment through Blackboard with the confidence of knowing students work is their own representation.
