STA Project Showcase 2007 - 2009

Fall STAs available. Submit your proposals now!

Launched in the spring semester of 2007, the Student Technology Assistant (STA) funded by the Provost’s office and executed by ITS, is designed to engage faculty in the use and implementation of technology in teaching and curriculum development, either online or in the classroom. Student Technology Assistants (STA) are paired with faculty members for one semester at 12 hours per week.

Goals of the Program:

  • Students have an opportunity to get hands-on practical work skills, such as project management, skills in web publishing, digital media, and various general and specific technologies, giving them a competitive edge in the workforce
  • Faculty have an opportunity to develop technology projects they may not have had time or expertise to do alone
  • Develop collaborative relationships between faculty and students
