Are Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) supported on campus?

As of June 2010, ITS is supporting Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) for both students and university-owned computers. There are no known compatibility problems with this operating system.

ITS provides support to our students using Windows 7, but we have not yet deployed Windows 7 across campus.  Desktop technicians are currently testing applications and preparing a plan for Windows 7 upgrades.  We ask users of university-owned computers to hold off on upgrading to Windows 7.  We will let users know of upgrade plans when they are finalized.
