Yesterday, Oracle released a critical security update to Java 7. Users who do not upgrade to the latest version (Java 7 Update 55) might be blocked from accessing USD services, such as Kronos, Banner, etc.
If you have already been prompted to upgrade your Java, you do not need to install anything else. However, if you are unsure if your Java is the latest version, or you are unable to access USD services, please download the latest Java from the USD website. To download the newest version of Java, please visit http://www.sandiego.edu/its/resources/downloads and log in with your MySanDiego username and password. Then, download and install the latest version of Java 7 Update 55 under the “Other Software” category.
If you have any questions or problems upgrading your computer, please contact the ITS Help Desk at (619) 260-7900.
