I am the Manager of Data Center Operations for Network and Telecommunication Services and my team?s top priority is customer service. We are responsible for creating, maintaining and managing accounts for Oracle financials and Banner Student systems including Active Directory. In addition to maintaining accounts, we also maintain access control records for the university?s yearly financial audits. My team provides Tier 2 support for the ITS Help Desk, troubleshooting account passwords and access problems. The Data Center Operations team manages the university backups, restores an off-site storage of critical data and the four university data centers environmental conditions including, electrical, HVAC, UPS, fire suppression systems. As part of that responsibility, we maintain contracts with several vendors to provide routine and emergency maintenance.
