Macquarie University is located in the Sydney suburb of North Ryde. The campus is set on 135 acres of parkland amongst a major technology precinct, a residential area and the Lane Cove National Park. Academic Program
Students can enroll in classes across a variety of disciplines including Art, Humanities, Languages, Social Sciences, Business & Management, Communication Studies, Education, Psychology, and the Sciences.
The academic year includes a fall semester running from July through November and a spring semester running from February through June.
Courses
To view available classes visit the Australearn website (see link at bottom of page). When selecting courses keep in mind that Australia's seasons are reversed. Therefore, if you are planning to study abroad during USD's Fall semester you will be in Australia during the second half of thier year. If you plan on attending during USD's Spring semester you be in Australia for the first half of their year. Select courses that will be offered during the corresponding semester.

Eligibility, Applications, and Deadlines
Students with a minimum GPA of 2.75 are eligible to apply to participate during their sophomore or junior year.
Selection for the program is based on a written application and a review of transcripts. Preliminary applications are available online or in the Office of International Studies Abroad.
Upon being accepted to study abroad through the USD Office of International Studies Abroad, students will then be required to apply directly to Australearn.
Living Arrangements
Pre-arranged accommodation is provided in self-catering shared apartments, which are generally walking distance from the campus.
Expenses
Tuition for this program is the same as for full-time, on-campus attendance at USD and is paid directly to USD. Estimates for room, board, books, supplies, and incidental expenses can be obtained from the Office of International Studies Abroad.
