Torero Life Abroad: Atienza Reflects on Madrid Semester Abroad
Tuesday, December 23, 2014

Torero Life Abroad chronicles the life of a University of San Diego student as they participate in the study abroad experience. Follow Courtney Atienza’s real-life adventures, anticipation, and experiences as she studies in Madrid, Spain, for the fall semester. She’s a junior business marketing major and Ethnic Studies minor. USD ranks second nationally for undergraduate study abroad participation, according to the newest data report by the Institute for International Education. This is the sixth and final story from Courtney.

So my semester of study abroad has come to an end. I’m so sad to leave Madrid, but I know that I’ll always have the amazing memories and I will certainly be back again some day.

I’ve learned so much these past four months, about myself and about the world, and I won’t forget all of those things and all of the people I’ve met. This semester was definitely one for the books and I hope that my stories help give everyone a little taste of the extraordinary life abroad. Here’s a short video that wraps up my time in Europe from beginning to end.

Thanks so much for keeping up with my adventures; I love that you were able to come along and see que pasa en Madrid!
