Problem-solving Skills: Creating New Possibilities

Discovery

Step One:
Each partner should take a few minutes to answer the questions below. These questions will help you and your partner explore how well you are able to problem-solve together. Each of you should answer the questions by yourself, without consulting your partner.

Please indicate whether you strongly agree, agree, disagree, or strongly disagree with each of the following statements:

Step Two:
After both of you have answered the questions, compare your answers to those of your partner. Are there any items where you and your partner answered much differently? Share with one another why you answered the way that you did, particularly on items where you and your partner answered differently.

Step Three:
Agreement with a statement reflects good problem-solving skills, while disagreement with a statement reflects a possible area in which to develop better problem-solving skills. Identify what areas are your strengths and what areas need improvement in terms of problem-solving skills.
