Two Churches, One Marriage was written and developed by Lee Williams, Ph.D., who is a Full Professor in the Marital and Family Therapy Program at the University of San Diego. He is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, as well as a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to his clinical work with couples and families, Dr. Williams has authored over 30 publications, many in the area of interchurch couples and premarital counseling. The original research upon which the program is based was conducted by the Center for Marriage and Family at Creighton University (Omaha, NE). Members of the research team included Michael Lawler, Barbara Markey, Lisa Riley, Gail Risch, and Lee Williams. Funding for the research was provided through the Lilly Endowment. The University of San Diego and Creighton University also provided financial and institutional support for the research.
