The university, one of six finalists for the Performance Excellence Applied Knowledge award, won for its First Year Employee Experience Program. All finalists submitted a video of their respective entries and USD’s video was shown during the ceremony.
“This recognition exemplified the training and development staff’s dedication and focus in creating learning initiatives that support our community members and the mission and vision of our university,” said Gregory Pogue, USD’s associate vice president for Human Resources.
Pogue attended the ceremony with Employment and Training Director Karen Kitchen Briggs, Training and Development Coordinator Janice Evelyn and Training and Development Specialist Karey Jacques.
