Welcome, New Toreros

Friday, August 30, 2013

Three, two, one and … Congratulations, you’re now on the University of San Diego campus and you’re set to become a Torero!

The Torero Countdown, a program developed for all incoming first-year students to help guide them, has reached its final stop — the USD campus. USD’s new student orientation, OLÉ! Weekend, runs Aug. 31 to Sept. 3, followed by the start of fall semester classes on Sept. 4.

The time is now for incoming freshmen and transfer students to get settled into their residential housing areas, meet other new Toreros in their respective Living Learning Community (LLC), attend information sessions to have questions answered and to make connections throughout the campus community. There are also plenty of fun activities to get acclimated to campus and to enjoy the city of San Diego.

Be sure when you arrive on Saturday (Aug. 31) to pick up your OLÉ! Weekend materials — which may include schedule updates — to ensure that you have everything you need to make this orientation weekend easier to navigate.

We wish everyone a smooth transition into your respective living spaces, that you enjoy the orientation experience, ask questions and most importantly, have fun! We look forward to having all Toreros on campus. Have a great weekend.
