A number of events, including the annual March of the Toreros from Maher Hall to the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, will take place March 10-16 to raise awareness of diversity on campus and, through these events, offers a chance for the entire community to come together, talk and learn more about each other.
Associated Students, Torero Program Board, Black Student Union, Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, United Front Multicultural Center, University Ministry and the Women’s Center are sponsoring this week’s events.

Sunday Night Masses, USD’s Founders Chapel, 7 and 9 p.m.
Monday, March 11
Kick-off event: “Watch Your Language” 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in front of the University Center.
Torero Program Board Presents: Dr. Terrence Roberts: “The Little Rock Nine,” KIPJ Theatre, doors open at 6:30 p.m., Program starts at 7 p.m. Free.
Tuesday, March 12
Poetry Slam. Aromas, 6-8 p.m.
Wednesday, March 13
International Women’s Day Breakfast, 7-9am, KIPJ, Rooms A-D. Get tickets through USD Women’s Center (Student Life Pavilion, Room 420).
Women’s Center Presents: Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? 5:30-7pm, SLP 420.
Mass for Peace. 9 p.m., USD’s Founders Chapel.
Thursday, March 14
March of the Toreros, 12-2pm. Gather in front of Maher Hall at noon. The march from Maher Hall to KIPJ’s Garden of the Sky will start at 12:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Friday, March 15
USD’s “Blue Friday,” special giveaways will be available at the Student Involvement and Information Desk (located next to Tu Mercado), 12-2pm
Saturday, March 16
United Front Multicultural Center Formal, “Under the Sea,” starting at 7:30 p.m., Crown Plaza Hotel (2270 Hotel Circle North), Mission Valley. Tickets are $5 (through March 13), $10 (March 14 and 15 and at the door) and can be purchased at the UC Box Office or in the UFMC (SLP 418) through March 15. $3 Parking at the hotel, plus shuttle service to and from campus.
