Owners of small and medium-sized businesses can receive hands-on instruction to develop a successful online marketing campaign through a certificate program offered by the University of San Diego this fall.
The affordable, eight-month program in Online Marketing Strategies focuses on the “how-to” of marketing techniques, emphasizing implementation tactics, and return-on-investment (ROI) strategies.
The program begins with an online marketing boot camp and includes courses in integrated marketing, search engine optimization, social media and web analytics. During a capstone course, participants will develop a working Internet marketing plan that can be put to use immediately for their businesses development.
“Since we started this program last fall, the response from small and medium-sized business owners has been very strong,” said Jason Lemon, USD Dean of Professional and Continuing Education. “Participants have praised the program for the in-depth, practical information it provides and many have seen immediate benefits including dramatic growth in their social media interaction with customers.” To see a student testimonial, go to http://youtu.be/bbkUvzlvHkU.
The first course, “Introduction to Online Marketing,” begins Thursday, Oct. 11. The certificate program consists of eight courses. Seating is limited to ensure a small-group setting in a highly interactive environment that ensures a maximum level of instructor attention and feedback. Courses may be taken individually, however, the complete series for the certificate provides a comprehensive approach that results in an online marketing campaign.
