Stephen Posa, a four-year forward/midfielder for the University of San Diego men’s soccer team, was one of five players selected by Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy in Tuesday’s four-round MLS Supplemental Draft.
Posa, a second-team All-West Coast Conference player the last two seasons and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America second team All-Far West Region selection in 2011, was taken by the Galaxy in the fourth round, 62nd overall.
Posa scored two goals and had three assists for the Toreros this season, giving him six goals and 10 assists in 75 career games. USD finished 9-9-1 overall, 6-5-1 in the WCC this past season.
