Campus Programs for Students

United Front Multicultural Center - Get involved in one of the many UFMC Student Organizations, Rainbow Educators, “Challenging Hate” training and workshops, diversity awareness training, and leadership training and development.

Women's Center - Connects students with personal, professional, and/or scholastic role models in women-to-women mentoring programs and offers educational forums to support the mission and vision of the center.

University Mission and Ministry - Hosts events such as the All Faith Service, monthly service trips to Tijuana, and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe; provides local service opportunities and immersion trips, as well as service and educational activities related to hunger and homelessness; and helps students participate in liturgies, retreats, and other communal faith gatherings.

Community Service-Learning - CSL offers a variety of classes, retreats, curriculum workshops, and activities for undergraduate and graduate students. Students may volunteer on or off campus, serve on the Social Issues Committee, work on group projects, or participate in post graduate domestic and international opportunities such as AmeriCorps and VISTA.

Lead@USD - Lead@USD (formerly the Educational Opportunity Program, or EOP) offers academic tutoring, advising, financial and planning resources, and workshops.

SSS - Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded grant by the U.S. Department of Education. The program provides opportunities for academic development and serves to retain and motivate students toward the successful completion of their postsecondary education at USD.

Institute of College Initiatives - The University of San Diego Institute of College Initiatives introduces local, national, and international communities -- especially students and their families -- to the University, and provides academic and support services to assist student achievement.

Center for Student Success - CSS (formerly the Office of Student Learning Initiatives) offers programs, services, and experiences designed to promote student success in and out of the classroom. CSS also provides leadership and direction for freshman and sophomore students by way of the First- and Second-Year Experience initiatives.

Counseling Center - USDCC offers diversity issues in peer counseling and stress management, intern training, and clinical inservice on cultural competency. Enrolled students receive free individual counseling and/or group therapy and the opportunity to join support groups. Workshops, resources, events, and help with academic performance are also provided.

Housing and Residential Life - Housing provides single parent housing and support for students with disabilities, as well as residential hall housing and apartment-style living for undergraduate students, transfer students, graduate and law students, and students with families. Residential Life provides a variety of activities and programs for students living in residence halls, Residential Learning Communities (RLCs), and apartments on campus.

Experiential Learning & Adventure Center - The mottos of the Adventure Center are Get Outside - Get Connected - Get Off Campus! and Explore Your World and Discover Yourself. Students (faculty and staff are also welcome) may sign up for outdoor trips, rent camping and sporting equipment, learn about eco-living, and explore the R.E.A.C.H. Teambuilding Program by becoming a facilitator or forming or joining a team.
