| Message | The Vista -- For as long as I can remember, I have always been told that the four years I spend in college would be among the best of my life. Looking back on my experience at USD, I can confidently say that these high expectations were met and surpassed. I made friends that have since become like a second family, I grew as an academic and I got a good start on coming to terms with myself and what I stand for. For this I am eternally grateful to USD, as the institution itself has become a part of who I am. However, as I reflect as an inner-city public school teacher in Washington, D.C., I find that I am gaining something that was missed during those four years, and that is why I am writing today.
