Recent Initiatives
A successful PABID Grant initiative was established in 2007-2008, which has provided in excess of $40,000 for grants since its inception. Interest in PABID grants continues to grow. Learn more here.
On October 20-21, 2009 the USD campus was invited to participate in The Living Library, co-sponsored by Copley Library, the Pardee Legal Research Center, and PABID. The project's goal is to diffuse stereoptypes and promote dialogue and understanding in a casual, social atmosphere.

In May 2009 PABID submitted a strategic direction document to the President, which contained three recommendations: adoption of strategic directions for inclusion and diversity, establishment of a Center for Inclusion and Diversity, and creation of a statement on inclusion and diversity that flows from the Mission Statement to the vision of PABID and the Center for Inclusion and Diversity. In February 2009 the campus participated in the first event of its kind, "The March of the Toreros," as part of the University of Diversity Week and the school year kicked off in the Fall of 2008 with the creation of "On Our Campus," which was the theme of the President's Convocation.
