Sweet Celebrations

Sweet Celebration is a monthly event that the Center for Inclusion and Diversity hosts, with an emphasis on coming together, meeting new and old friends, enjoying great food, and engaging in a variety of discussion topics and activities.

At its core, Sweet Celebration is one way that the Center for Inclusion and Diversity works toward its purpose.  We aim to create an open space for members of the campus community to interact and engage.  We believe this will contribute to a campus culture that can sustain and bolster diversity and interaction across difference, which are necessary for an inclusive campus environment.

In the past, Sweet Celebrations have been themed around topics such as Women's Herestory Month, in collaboration with the Women's Center, and Hispanic Heritage Month, that featured a guest lecture from USD Faculty member, Dr. Gail A Perez.

We invite any and all members of the USD community to join us on the 1st Wednesday of each month.  We'll provide the food and together we can celebrate inclusion and diversity.
