El Paso Independent School District

People in discussion.
Our partnership with EPISD focuses around supporting the active learning pedagogical shift. Active learning will allow teachers and students to interact with one another as collaborative learners through hands-on, relevant, learning experiences with the integration of technology. We work with the district leadership team to define the shift from the three levels through the Milestones: students, teachers, and administration, in order to communicate expectations and to also provide systems of support to develop the stakeholders. The Milestones serve as a system under the Teacher and Administrator Competencies that derive from the EPISD Students Goals. The competencies will help in developing the EPISD student through personalized and active professional learning for the educator. The partnerships also works closely with the development of the Active Learning Leaders, pedagogical coaches at every site who serve to co-teach, model, and support teachers with active learning.
