2003 News and Announcements
- December 19 - The Interdisciplinary Humanities major - for the first time since its inception in 1988 - has been substantially restructured for the 2004 Undergraduate Bulletin. Previously this major consisted of the upper-division requirements now associated with the Humanities Studies track, and somewhat different lower-division requirements. The modifications in its lower-division requirements, and the addition of the European Studies and Asian Studies tracks, should make it an even more valuable option for USD students. The major is also pleased to welcome two new members to its faculty advisory committee. Colleen Kelly, whose leadership has also resulted in establishing a Theatre Arts major at USD, has joined us. Molly McClain, who specializes in British history, has as well. Dr. McClain replaces Dr. James Otte. Dr. Otte is an original member of the advisory committee, and was instrumental in the major's development and establishment. We are extremely grateful for his contributions and service to the major over the years, and wish him extraordinary success in his future endeavors!
